the introduction of the Block model, a transformative way of delivering education, through sequential learning (one unit each 4 weeks), delivered in a focussed learner-centred environment using real-world problem based learning and a small group interactive approach. This is the biggest endeavour in the world to date to implement university block teaching across all educational fields, and will be extended into postgraduate education in 2021. Validating the success of our Block Model, in 2018 we won the Victorian International Education Awards (university category) and the International Education of Australia Excellence Awards (innovation category).
